Winter, 2012

Around 2006-07, I was living in a little duplex apartment off E Colfax with my good friend Chris​. He used to play drums for a punk band called Codename:TRIXIE, one of the first bands I got to know and love after I started playing in bands. He was learning to play guitar at the time, and he had this riff that he wanted to make a song out of. I came up with a chorus and bridge, and fleshed out the song after my impression of melodic punk. I remember Chris wrote some lyrics based on Chuck Palahniuk's "Choke," but we never worked out a vocal part to the song. It was never fully finished, never performed with a band, never even really had a name. Since this is the only version that officially exists, I decided to just name it after this project.
