about
Summer, 2015
The Vanilla Milkshakes released "Seattle" on their album, "How to Ruin Friendships and Influence Douche Bags" in 2014, but waaaaay back in '03 or '04 I recorded a demo of the song with David McGhee when his band was called Ginkins. That's the version I based this cover off of, though the newer one is much better. I didn't know there was a new version of the song when I started putting this together, but even after I heard it, I was too attached to my bassline and harmony melody and sweet guitar solo to consider reworking it. You can hear the new recording of the song at thevanillamilkshakes.bandcamp.com along with the rest of the band's fun tunes, and, just for kicks, you can hear all the old stuff at goodbyetimebomb.bandcamp.com.
